where are they now?

over lunch today we were discussing the defunct tv series "ang tv", which ran from 1992-1996. i don't know what started the discussion, but it was a lively one, and it gave me the idea for this entry.

who can forget the theme song of the tv series, the title of which is "Doo Wah Diddy"? dang. this is the first time i ever saw the title spelled out. i used to watch this show religiously (ok, so call me baduy, but i loved it too.). me, a senior high school student, watching something like this.

there was actually one member of the cast that drew me to the show. he looked like my crush at that time, and me, being the innocent teenager that i was then, watched this cast member and swooned over him like i swooned over his lookalike. (two years later, i would meet this castmember in person, and i was not that starstruck, because by then i had met and gone out with guys who were way cuter than him, or my crush.)

way back then, i really didn't like one of the girls in the cast because she was too "maarte". years later i would meet her while i was interning at abs-cbn, and by then she was already a "big" star (maybe, but not for me), and she could afford to have her nose fixed. the day i saw her, she just had the procedure, and the artificial whatever they stuck to her nose was still apparent.

there were 2 girls here who became sexy actresses when they graduated from the show. i didn't like them then, and i still don't like them now.
